Electrical engineering is low voltage, logic circuits, communications etc. Power engineering is electrical transmission and the like.
You want EE.
Yes, MIT offers an Electronics Engineering degree. They also offer a variety of other disciplines including civil engineering, mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering and others. Degrees are available at the Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. levels.
Electrical Engineers are like doctors and lawyers, there are all kinds of specialties. Some are power engineer, analog circuit designers, digital and computer designers, microwave engineers, transmission line engineers, motor and generator engineers, semiconductor engineers, solar power engineers, wind turbine engineers and on and on.
Electrical Engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical equipment such as electric motors, lighting, wiring in buildings, power generating utilities, etc. A bachelors degree from an ABET accredited university is required before one can purport to be an Electrical Engineer.Electricians install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems. They might work from blueprints created by electrical engineers when they work with electrical systems.
If you are good in calculus, it is quite simple otherwise it will be very difficult Quite simple? Let me correct you on that. NO, it is NOT quite simple, whether you are good at calculus or not. That is like saying if you understand the body then medical school is super easy. Neither are. I am currently working on my Associates in electronics. My math skills are fair, not great. I used to work with several electronics technicians and engineers, and my manager had a Masters in EE. Very smart guy and he even said that the course was extremely hard. He is right. I have read several times that electronics and chemistry are two of the hardest majors. I have a friend who is a chemist and he said it was hard, and from my experience in studying electronics, YES, it is VERY hard. However, it is also a very rewarding career if you stick with it and have a passion for it. Lastly, if you choose to go for an engineering degree, get at least a Bachelors, if not a Masters. Anything less won't get you very far. It will be a very hard 4 or 5 years, but totally worth it.
the degrees that he received was a bachelors degree in science
Absolutely.
To become a Product Engineer a person requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering or Mechatronics. A Masters degree in Production Engineering may be required but may not be essential for a future in Production Engineering.

There is a vast range of positions you can get when you have a Bachelors Degree Mechatronics such as a position in schools, hospitals, manufacturing and production facilities. Depending on the skills set they are looking for because the degree incorporates electronic, mechanical, computer and control skills.
Typically, the bachelors degree in engineering is a four year program of study provided the student takes the program as prescribed by the college or university. However, there are some areas within engineering that may take longer. For example, architectural engineering is a five year program of study at the bachelors level.
absolutely, but in your part.

The degree is designed as a four year program of study, provided the student takes the degree as prescribed by the college or university.
Engineering technicians use the principles and theories of science, engineering, and mathematics to solve technical problems in a variety of engineering fields. Engineering technicians generally have 2 year associates degrees. A lot of techs just install or help engineers with the hands-on start-up or troubleshooting of systems & equipment. Electrical engineering technologists assist engineers in the design, drafting, and technical skills to implement engineering ideas. EET's generally possess a 4-year bachelors degree. Although the term can be somewhat misleading, someone with a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology can obtain the same job as someone with a BSEE. The EET degree usually focuses on the implimentation of design, while EE focuses on design and theory. The EE degree generally contains higher level math courses than the EET degree.
yes you can
You can have a B.S. in engineering, which is a way of saying you graduated college in engineering with a "Bachelors of Science" degree.
