The size of the wire is stated by its gauge under American Wire Gauge. Six gauge wire is size 6 AWG.
I think you mean 2 HP pump. I am assuming a 220 To 240 volt supply and that should equate to about a 12 amp current. All my pumps use only a 30 amp breaker and 10 AWG wire.
An electric heat pump can heat up your home during winter and cool it during summer.
Using the formula: Amps = Watts/Volts look up the wire size needed in the national electric code book for the amperage of the device. This formula only works for single phase current. If you are using 3 phase, look in the book. In general, 15 Amps or less: 14 Ga Copper wire. 20 Amps or less 12 Ga. 30 Amps or less 10 Ga. Anything more than 30 amps, look it up in the book.
A #6 copper conductor with an insulation factor of 75 and 90 degrees C is rated at 65 and 75 amps respectively.
The recommended well pump wire size for efficient and safe operation of the pump system is typically 12-gauge wire. This size of wire is commonly used to ensure proper power supply and prevent overheating or damage to the pump.
Normally AWG #10 wire on a 30 amp breaker but it really depends on the size of the pump. The pump manufacture will specify the size wire and size breaker needed.
My heat pump was professionally wired when built in 2004. Wire is No. 4 AWG with 80 amp breaker
it is a 12 seer 4 ton heat pump
The size of a heat pump that you can use for a pool which is 18 feet wide by 33 feet long and has a depth of 4.5 feet can vary depending on specific brand of heat pump you wish to purchase. The minimum size of heat pump for an above ground pool of this size in 102,000 BTU.
This would depend on how big your fuel pump is, every fuel pump is diffrent.
This is a voltage drop question. To answer this question the voltage of the pump must be stated
power lone
A heat pump sizing chart provides information on the appropriate size of a heat pump needed for a specific area or space. It typically includes details such as the square footage of the area, climate zone, insulation levels, and recommended heat pump capacity in BTUs or tons. This helps in selecting the right size heat pump for efficient heating and cooling.
By the cooling load of the home only.
Check your owners manual for details.
You need to know the amperage requirement of the pump and then you can calculate the wire size.
