it is used to select the type of input we want to give to any of our ckt's.... Input's such as sine, square, triangular, pulse etc....

it is about thefiltering of the ac signal from the circuit. when transistor2 switched on, collector terminal is suddenly shorted to ground and voltage at collector2 drops to vce from vcc.it cause a negative voltage pulse. the negative pulse coming at the collector of 2nd transistor passes to base of 1st transistor and thus transistor1 is switched off. commutating capacitors will allow to pass the ac signal only. so the negative pulse at the 2nd collector alone is feed to the base of 1st transistor. that is function of commutating capacitor
The main advantage of an IC 555 is that is useful for creating different kinds of purposes like time delays, oscillator purposes, and pulse generation. The time increments are incredibly adjustable, such as from microseconds to hours.
The output signal of an inductive pulse generator shaft speed sensor is typically measured in volts. This voltage is generated as the sensor detects the passing of ferromagnetic objects or changes in magnetic fields related to the shaft's rotation. The frequency of the voltage pulses corresponds to the rotational speed of the shaft, allowing for the calculation of speed in revolutions per minute (RPM).
there is no pulse generator in a 74154
Code 55= "No input signal from vehicle speed pulse generator"
A pulse generator is an electronic device that produces a series of electrical pulses, typically used to test circuits and systems. It can generate pulses of varying widths, amplitudes, and frequencies, allowing engineers to simulate different signal conditions. Pulse generators are commonly used in applications such as timing, synchronization, and signal modulation in telecommunications and electronic testing.
An electronic pulse generator is used to produce rectangular pulses to power machinery. A microwave is an example of a machine that uses an electronic pulse generator.
a generator of single or multiple voltage pulses; usually adjustable for pulse rate
Problem is probably CKP sensor ... AKA Crank Shaft Sensor ... AKA Signal Generator .... AKA Pulse Generator .... Change it out
The pulse generator on a 2002 Mazda Protege is located on the top of the transmission. The pulse generator can be purchased at any auto parts store such as NAPA.

clock is consider every signal time duration (on time and off time period) are must be constant.pluse is consider on time or off time period are same time period or it varies.
Function generator can better be called as signal generator. It produces different types of signal like sine, saw tooth, triangular, pulse wave forms etc... can be produced. For testing any circuits which input must be a wave form like oscillator circuits function generator is used.
