anywhere, smart one
That's right, anywhere. Small, efficient wind generators have now been designed that can be placed nearly anywhere the wind blows. This includes homesteads, schools, green houses, city houses, boats, at campsites, etc. So, not only can you use the energy produced from wind everywhere we use electricity now, we can also generate it at the site of consumption.
Wind is caused by huge convection currents in the Earth's atmosphere, driven by heat energy from the Sun. The moving air has huge amounts of kinetic energy, and this can be transferred into electrical energy using wind turbines. Wind turbines cannot work if there is no wind, or if the wind speed is so high it would damage them.
The white fans that make electricity are called wind turbines. Wind turbines are devices that convert the kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy through the use of rotating blades. When the wind blows, it causes the blades to spin, which in turn drives a generator to produce electricity. Wind turbines are commonly used to generate renewable energy from wind power.
Approximately 9.3% of the UK's electricity requirement.
I take it that you are referring to a wind turbine? A wind turbine doesn't save energy; it generates energy. It can be argued that it is more 'eco-friendly', but of course it takes energy to manufacture and install wind turbines, and the only reason they are used is because they are heavily subsidised through increase energy bills to consumers; without these subsidies, wind turbines wouldn't even be considered as a practical source of energy. This is because the energy generated is appallingly-low, and their output cannot be guaranteed to match demand, and they are very expensive.
kinetic (the energy in the moving air)
Wind energy can be used to power many things. Wind energy is produced by wind turbines that work opposite of fans.
wind energy is mostly used in texas
A wind turbine is used to convert the wind into energy.
A wind turbine is used to convert the wind into energy.
one example of wind energy are wind mills.
Wind is a renewable resource on earth. Wind turbines can be used to catch the wind's energy and be used to create electricity.
wind energy is used in all parts of Canada
wind power energy may be used by using it to brush your teeth because it helps the energy of the water create wind from the water/wind power energy.
Wind energy is used like regular coal energy with a slight difference as wind energy is renewable.
Wind turbines (in a wind farm) convert kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy. Not to be confused with wind mills - that turn the kinetic energy of the wind into mechanical energy.
Wind energy is used for electricty, wind turbine, windmills, and a wind machine
Around 2% of energy consumption is wind energy.
