What is cl PS current transformer?

CL of a CT is its accuracy class.. it is an approximate measure of the CT's accuracy. e.g. The ratio (primary to secondary current) error of a Class 1 (CL:1.0) CT is 1% at rated current

What is the term PS in engine power?

PS is a German unit for horse power. This unit (German: Pferdestärke = horse strength) is no longer a statutory unit, but is still commonly used in Europe, South America and Japan, especially by the automotive and motorcycle industry. It was adopted throughout continental Europe with designations equivalent to the English horsepower, but mathematically different from the British unit. It is defined by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB)[8] in Braunschweig as exactly:1 PS = 75 kilopond-meters per second(75 kp·m/s)×(9.80665 N/kp) = 735.49875 N·m/s ≈ 735.5 N·m/s ≈ 735.5 W ≈ 0.7355 kW ≈ 0.98632 hp (SAE)The PS was adopted by the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) and then by the automotive industry throughout most of Europe, under varying names. In 1992, the PS was rendered obsolete by EEC directives, when it was replaced by the kilowatt as the official power measuring unit. It is still in use for commercial and advertising purposes, in addition to the kW rating, as many customers are not familiar with the use of kilowatts for engines.

What causes high amps?

High voltage and low resistance would cause high amps. E = I R or I = E/R. PS E would be electromotive force measured in volts. R would be resistance measured in ohms. I would be current flow measured in amps.

Two technicians are discussing how to measure the voltage outputs of a power supply. Technician A says that the power supply must be connected to the system and turned on before voltage can be measu?

It does have to be turned on. A highly regulated PS will be the same under load as without a load. But it may not be able to supply the amps. Best connect it and test it. WHO WON?

What is class PS in current Transformer?

PS is a special class of protection transformer used in differential protection schemes. The CT is specified by what is known as the knee point (that is the point at which the CT saturates). Because they are specified using the knee point, two separate CTs will have the same characteristics. These matched CTs won't introduce measurement error during through faults on differential protection schemes.

Is it PS or PS?

It is typically abbreviated as "PS", which stands for postscript. This abbreviation is commonly used in formal and informal communication to add something that was forgotten in the main body of a letter or email.
