They are usually not that dangerous to begin with. They have a calm characteristic and won't bother you unless you come near them. The females are sensitive during mating season and through winter. The baby bears might die during the cold. If you approach them, you will regret that you did approach it. Then the polar bear would snarl. Then it would rise up and chase you, often killing you in 15 seconds. If you see a polar ber from some distance away, please turn around and hurry back before he/she spots you. If they're really hungry, they might hunt you down. the survival chance of a person surviving from a polar bear attack is rare. All you've got to do is make sure you don't get his/her attention. Then you'll be fine.
