Dugongs are endangered because they get killed by boats, get entangled in nets, loss of habitat and destruction of breeding grounds.
They used to be hunted for their meat, blubber, oil, skin and bones. Sharks, humans and some other marine animals like crocodiles and killer whales are the only predators of the dugong.
