Around 13 months the manatees' gestation is about one year while the baby manatee grows up it is nused by its mother for two years until its old enough to live on its own :) About 12 Months.
It depends on the type of manatee. The west Indian for example is about 10 feet long it is the smallest manatee. Most others are about 10-13 feet long. As big as they are, they are actually very gentle.
