well if you think how many people live in America and how many kids there are. and in the kids' lifetime there will probably be say 20 presidents from the kid being born until they are 8. that is based on having a new president every four years. so say there are 303 million people in America around half will be kids so there will be around a 1 in 150 million chance of them becoming president. is that helpful?

Reader is a singular noun; readers in the plural form.
if it's on the pc, here's your answer; Scroll over the lifetime wish, & it will say what you need to do to accomplish your lifetime wish. Same with wishes or promises.
That would depend on what feeling the piece is trying to convey. It also depends on what the writer wants the reader to feel. But if I were to answer your question to what i understand it best as, I would say that a piece of literature would let the reader relate, or identify with whatever is being written.
