We need to change the way that we treat the environment on a global scale. This would allow endangered species to recover. People need to move into smaller regions and live in a sustainable fashion, and massive areas of habitat need to be restored. Captive breeding programs should be used to increase populations of endangered species, and then they should be reintroduced to the wild. Most species would recover if we did these things. To prevent the same issue in the future, I don't think couples should have more than two children. Eight billion people is already a lot for the planet to support.
