Poachers will often hunt down animals that have horns which are made of Ivory. Ivory is then sold on the black market for very high prices. The downside is the animal is often left dead with only the ivory horn removed. Conservationist have recently started tranquilizing animals that are subject to poachers, and remove the ivory horns to prevent an even more decline in their population.
