The Manis Mastodon Site was an archaeogical dig on which the remains of an American Mastadon was found.
The discovery of this particular Mastadon was significant because it dated the existence of the Mastadon west of the Cascade Range to 14,000 years ago, instead of the 9,600 to 6,000 years that was originally believed.
