I think you mean to ask about either the quagga (a type of zebra) or the quokka (a type of small marsupial).

Quaggas are, unfortunately, very far past endangered. They're extinct; the last one died on August 12, 1883 at the Natura Artis Magistra zoo in Amsterdam. They died out due to over-hunting for meat and hide, and for space so that farmers could raise cattle.

Quokkas are, fortunately, only listed as vulnerable (the lowest rank of threatened status). This is partially due to the fact that they have only ever lived in a very small area, most notably Rottnest and Bald islands. Much like the quagga, the quokka is threatened because of settlers. Cats, dingoes, dogs, and foxes all prey on the quokka, and they've been losing their homes to deforestation as well.
