Toucans are not extremely rare or endangered.

The main reasons why toco toucans are endangered include habitat loss due to deforestation, illegal pet trade, and hunting. These factors have led to a decline in their population numbers and threaten their continued survival in the wild. Conservation efforts are needed to protect their habitats and prevent further decline in their numbers.
no not at all they are perfectly safe there are 20000 to 50000 left in the world
The trees that they live in are being torn down for farming.
yes, Keel Billed Toucans are endangered species. They are endangered by hunting or when the mountains are on fire. So Belize is protecting those birds because they are few in their country and they represent a national bird. --------------------------- No they are not endangered, their status is in fact least concern, which means it's not even nearly endangered. (my source for this information is the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums, and IUCN, an organization that has the job of figuring out whether an animal is endangered, and to what extent.)
People can help toucans from becoming endangered by supporting conservation organizations, spreading awareness about the threats they face, avoiding purchasing products made from toucans, and advocating for the protection of their habitats. Volunteering for local conservation projects and participating in sustainable ecotourism activities can also contribute to their conservation.
Different parrots become endangered at different times, there are lists on the internet that you can look at to find dates about a specific bird. However if by any chance you are trying to find the Cuban Parrot and when it got endangered i do not believe it is anywhere over the internet.

Toucan are the "family" of birds. The scientific name is "Ramphastidae" and includes five to six different genera, and over 40 different species identified to date. This includes the Toucans, Toucanets, and the Aracari. According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature or the IUCN Red List, there are more than 35 different listings of Toucan with a wide range of status, including endangered. They are listed from "least concern" with "no population trend determined", all the way to "endangered" with a "population trend decreasing". Also the US Fish and Wildlife Service Endangered Species List has a Toucan listed "under review". For more details, please see sites listed below.
