You can fasten your fabrication to something that won't flex easily, like an I-beam. When the welding is done wrap the whole thing up in Kao-wool, which is a type of insulating material, and let it cool down SLOWLY. This keeps stresses to a minimum and helps to keep your fabrication from warping. It is very difficult to keep stainless from warping, but it can be minimized. I've been on jobs (refinery, nukes) where the pipe fabrication had heating elements attached to it, brought up to just below the welding temperature, wrapped in Kao-wool, and the temperature decreased in a controlled fashion over a specific period of time ie: 80 degrees per hour. This data was recorded and made part of quality control package.
When you weld something, it'll cool unevenly. This will set up stress points in the matrix that can cause problems like warping and reduction of strength. Stress relieving seeks to correct this.
This is a simple stress relieving process the welder can do to minimize warpage of material that was just welded.

SAW welding is a type of arc welding while ERW welding is spot or seam welding. SAW stand for submerged arc welding while ERW stands for electric resistance welding.

Yes, it is possible to weld aluminum to stainless steel (SS316) using a suitable welding process such as friction welding, explosion welding, or laser welding. Each method has its specific requirements and parameters for achieving a strong and reliable weld joint between the two dissimilar materials. It is essential to understand the properties of both materials and select the appropriate welding technique to ensure a successful bond.
SS316, SS304, and SS316L are all types of stainless steel. SS316 is known for its increased corrosion resistance compared to SS304, particularly in high chloride environments. SS316L is a low carbon version of SS316, which helps prevent sensitization and subsequent corrosion.
Stainless Steel 316, a type of stainless steel
SS 316L, the low carbon version of SS 316 and is immune from sensitisation (grain boundary carbide precipitation).SS 316H, with its higher carbon content has application at elevated temperatures, same as SS 316Ti which is a Titanium stabilised grade .SS 316N is nitrogen enhanced with greater strength than SS 316
6013 reffers to welding electrode specification. 1 st two digit stands for load / stress carrying capacity . next digit stands for welding position. and last one for welding rod ,flux material composition.
