Can you connect a 6mm earth wire to a 2.5 mm earth wire?

A 6 mm earth wire can be used to replace a 2.5 mm earth wire, but if there is an existing 6 mm earth wire it must be 6 mm all the way to the earth, and not replaced by a smaller wire between it and the earth connection.

What is the 'Law of Machines'?

Machines which are used to lift a load are governed by the "Law of machines", which states that the effort to be applied on the machine (p) is related to the weight (w) which it can lift as - p = mw + c Where m and c are positive constants which are characteristics of the machine.

How do you connect surge arrester?

The surge arrestor is clipped onto the rail in the DB next to the existing breakers, the live (red) wire is looped from the existing live loops above the other circuit breakers onto the top of the surge arrestor. The bottom of the arrestor is connected to the earth bar. It would be better to install a seperate earth spike and connect the botom of the arrestor to that to make sure that you have a good earth but it is sometimes not possible if the DB enclosure is indoors.

How long is a moment?

A moment can be anywhere from a few seconds, up to a minute. Generally, a moment is defined as a point in time lasting from 1-3 seconds. In Old English, a moment was an exact measurement of time being 1.5 seconds or 1/40th of one minute. However, in more modern English usage it has simply meant an inexact and brief length of time.
