Can 110volt fan motor be used in a 220 volt electric furnace?

It will run, but you will pull more amps than you would while running on a 120v line and it will not run as fast or as efficiently. Bottom line: you'll use more electricity and your bill will be much higher. The motor will also run hotter.

Should be able to so long as the Hp (horsepower) or Kw rating is at least the same or more. In North America 115V is the nominal reading where the expected voltage out of the outlet could vary between 110 and 120.

Almost all furnace blower motors run on 120 volts. The 240 volt supply to the furnace is typically just a three wire cable two "hots" and a neutral. Furnaces are generally wired to tap one of the two "hot" wires to the neutral wire to run the blower motor.

All socket outlets for small appliances and lighting in the US, Canada - and other countries which use the same 60Hz ac standard single-phase electricity service - actually have a nominal voltage that is 120 volts plus or minus 10%. That means the actual voltage delivered to the outlet can vary between 108 volts and 132 volts and still be ok to use.

So the answer to this question is yes.

Depending on its age, a "115 volt" motor is probably rated to be used on 120 volts +/- 10% too!

Note: Over the last 100 years or so the 60 Hz national standard voltage has crept up from 100 volts to 110 volts to 115 volts to 120 volts. (The various US states and different countries each brought in those increases at different times.)

It would depend on how many amps they used. If both fans were the same power, the 120 volt fan would use more amps than the 220 volt fan. Volts times amps = watts. A watt is a unit of power.
