You would need a 9V dc supply. The potential current output of you supply myst be greater than or equal to the current draw of the pedal. (100ma load on a 150ma supply: fine. 150ma load on a 100ma supply: bad.) With these conditions met you can just get another 9V snap and wire it to your supply. Remember, as you are connecting two snaps together, the polarity of the snap for your supply will be reversed. (Red is - and black is +) CHECK YOUR WORK! If you mix up the polarity, you could smoke your pedal. You can also make your own regulator with a LM317 voltage regulator from a higher supply. This will only work with another low voltage DC supply with a voltage output higher than 9V. It will not boost the voltage and will not work with line voltages. It is a common IC and many manufacturers make them. Check your pedal. Most of them have DC in jacks so you don't need to hook to the battery clip.

What does a battery snap do in a circuit?

A battery snap is a kind of connector, used on certain batteries. Popular 9v batteries have terminals on them like a 'press stud'. They are polarized, one connection is like a claw and the other like a button. This make sure that the connection only fits one way round or on the correct terminals, preventing reverse polarity damage. Small batteries like the PP3, have the two connectors on one clip, or board. Larger batteries will have the connectors separate, one on each wire.

How do battery snaps work?

A battery snap is two metal studs on a clip that has a positive and a negative wire coming off it. The battery snap is pushed on to the connectors on a 9 volt dry cell battery. The cables can then be connected to an electrical DC device that is rated to use 9 volts.

How do you get a car battery cover to snap on?

To snap a car battery cover on, first ensure that the cover is oriented correctly, aligning any tabs or clips with their respective slots on the battery. Gently press down on the cover until you hear or feel it click into place, indicating that it is securely attached. If it doesn’t snap on easily, check for any obstructions or misalignments that may prevent it from fitting properly. Always ensure that the battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion for proper connection.
