Can you replace a Animatics SM3420D with a SM34205D in a legacy Opto 22 controller system that uses factory floor software?

Difficult to say for certain as there are some minor differences in the specifications of these two motors. The SM34205D replaces the SM3420D, so it would be reasonable to assume they are compatible, however my best advice would be to contact Moog Animatics directly.
