Are concrete blocks cheaper then a concrete slab?

That's sort of a strange question. A concrete slab is a horizontal surface -- it's meant to be a surface you stand on or build things on. Concrete blocks are usually used for vertical surfaces -- walls. I believe that poured concrete walls are more expensive than concrete block walls. You wouldn't use concrete blocks as a substitute for a concrete slab.

How do you protect buildings against heat loss through a concrete roof slab with the aid of a diagram?

To protect buildings against heat loss through a concrete roof slab, you can use insulation materials installed above or below the slab. Rigid foam insulation or spray foam can be applied directly to the underside of the concrete to minimize thermal bridging. Additionally, incorporating a reflective or radiant barrier can further reduce heat transfer. A diagram would typically illustrate the layered structure, showing the concrete slab, insulation layer, and roofing materials on top.

How do you make your laminate floors look shiny?

Generally, you can't. Laminate is not like hardwood. It is only a picture of wood with a plastic surface. If it didn't shine when you bought it, there is little you can safely do to make it shine later. Never use any kind of wax or hardwood floor shine on a laminate. This will simply leave you with a mess!
