There is no defined AWG for 350 MCM. The American Wire Gauge stops at 0000 (4/0), and 350 MCM is bigger than this. An approximate conversion would be 6/0, if there were such a thing. Extrapolating out from 4/0, 6/0 is 334.8 MCM, and 7/0 is 422.2 MCM. These wire sizes don't exist of course, and don't exactly match 350 MCM anyway.

How much current does 300 sq mm cable carry?

A 228 sq mm conductor equates to 450 MCM. A conductor of 450 MCM is not a standard AWG wire size. A standard 400 MCM will carry 380 amps. A standard 500 MCM will carry 430 amps. Difference between 400 and 500 MCM amperage's is 50 amps. Transposing between the two amperage's of 50 amps will be 380 + 25 = 405 or 430 - 25 = 405 amps. This is a very rough calculated answer for the question.

What AWG cable for 200' x 208 volt three phase 250 amp circuit?

A wire size of 250 MCM will limit the voltage drop to 3% over a distance of 200 feet.

What size cable is needed to supply 415v 250 amp three phase fuseboard?

A 250 MCM copper conductor with a insulation factor of 75 or 90 degrees C is rated at 255 and 265 amps respectively. This conductor can only be load to 80% capacity which allows a working current of 204 and 212 amps respectively. To obtain the full capacity of 250 amps a 350 MCM conductor will be needed. The amp rating for a 350 MCM conductor with an insulation factor of 90 degrees C is 325 amps. 325 x .8 = 260 amps.

What is the amperage rating of 500 MCM copper conductor?

It depends on a lot of factors. Generally speaking, if the insulation is THHN then the rating is 350 amps. If the insulation is THWN then the rating is 310 amps. The ampere rating for wire depends on the temperature of the environment it will be used in, the insulation rating and the number of circuits installed in a conduit. There are also other factors to consider... like voltage drop in long runs.

What size feeder wire for three phase 320 amp meter serving two 200 amp panels?

2/0 if copper is used; 4/0 if aluminum is used. The neutral and ground are usually smaller. 2/0 is only rated for 185 amps. 3/0 copper is rated for 210 amps, 250 MCM is rated at 215 amps if aluminum is used.

177 mm squared is equal to 350 MCM AWG.

Convert 262 mcm to AWG?

Using the AWG for wire sizes only goes up to 4/0. After that the increases use MCM to size the wire. So your 262 MCM wire size will be same in AWG. There is no 262 MCM in the North American market place. It goes in 50 MCM increments starting at 250 MCM , 300 MCM, 350 MCM, 400 MCM right up to 2000 MCM cable.

What size wire is required for 325 amp service?

A 350 MCM copper conductor with an insulation rating of 90 degree C is rated at 350 amps.

What is equivalent size of 500mcm to AWG?

500 MCM (thousand circular mils) is equivalent to approximately 3/0 AWG (3 aught) in the American Wire Gauge (AWG) system. MCM is often used for larger conductors, particularly in industrial applications, while AWG is more common for smaller wires. The exact conversion may vary slightly depending on the specific context or wire type, but 3/0 AWG is the standard equivalent for 500 MCM.

How do you convert Sq-mm into MCM?

1 sq mm = 1.974 MCM

How much does 350 mcm weight per foot?

The weight of 350 MCM (thousand circular mils) per foot depends on the material it is made of. For example, copper 350 MCM wire weighs approximately 2.6 pounds per foot, while aluminum 350 MCM wire weighs around 1.6 pounds per foot.

How do you convert tmc to mcm?

TMC stands for Thousand Million Cubic Feet and MCM stands for Million Cubic Meter so 1 TMC= 28.31684 MCM and 1MCM = 0.035315MCM

What is larger 0 AWG 4 AWG?

the lower the number, the larger the wire. 0 AWG is larger than 4 AWG More information: The above answer is correct but I wish to add more information. What you are calling 0 AWG is usually written as 1/0 and called "one ought". From there the numbers get larger: 1/0, 2/0 (read "2 ought"), 3/0, and 4/0. From there wires are written in there MCM size or kcmils (kilo-circular-mills) which stands for thousand circular mills, the same as MCM. That's a lot of useless information unless you are a competent electrician. I just wanted to clarify that 0 AWG is commonly called 1/0, or "one ought."

What is the current rating of 350 MCM al wire for direct burial?

The current rating of 350 MCM aluminum wire for direct burial will depend on the specific environment and installation conditions. It is recommended to consult the National Electrical Code (NEC) or a qualified electrician for precise calculations and to ensure safety and code compliance.

What size romex for 60 amps of service?

A 300 MCM copper conductor with an insulation rating of 90 degrees C is rated at 320 amps. Parallel the feeders to obtain a total of 640 amps. This will be acceptable as service feeders for a 600 amp service.A 400 MCM aluminium conductor with an insulation rating of 90 degrees C is rated at 305 amps. Parallel the feeders to obtain a total of 610 amps. This will be acceptable as service feeders for a 600 amp service.
