There are some overall differences in the curriculum layout for the two fields of study. However, this does not mean you cannot pursue the masters of your choice. You may have to take some prerequisite coursework at the undergraduate level first, if you have not done co already. Still, if this is your passion, then you should pursue it.

Yes you can do it but you may need to do bridging courses such as courses in soil mechanics, geotechnics, structural design, hydraulics, applied mechanics, civil eng materials and so on and so forth. then you will be ready to embark on your graduate degree in civil eng. My background in Bachelors in Building science (construction management) and now finalizing my masters in civil engineering with a concentration on road and railway engineering and will be graduating very soon. Its a good combination depending on your interest.
Even if you were allowed to do so by means of a double major, both are intensive programs of study with the degree in architecture being a five year bachelor's degree. You would be putting yourself at academic risk.
Having a masters degree in civil engineering improves your employment prospects and your potential wage. Also it is commonly considered a necessary step in gaining professional or chartered engineer status.
Honestly, the hardest courses in college vary depending upon the students talents or lack there of. The hardest courses for me in college were: Physics (my teacher talked about his family every lecture time, instead of describing how Physics worked), and Trigonometry (the class deals with a lot of shapes, and has too many formulas that you will NEVER utilize in real life). The hardest courses in College are the ones you are not interested in. If you get a teacher that does not suit your learning style then you will still do well if you are interested in the subject because you will get the information from other sources. The best teacher in the world cannot teach you much if you are uninterested.
It is likely that you will undertake courses teaching the use of computer aided design while undertaking a BEng in Civil Engineering.
