You mostly do, but there are also very talented designers who are famous even though they don't have a degree.
It can be good, but it isn't a must have.
To become a fashion designer you will need to obtain a college degree in Fashion Design. You can also take college courses online.
Science relates to fashion design because in fashion you need to know what the fabric you are using is made of.
Some fashion designers also combine a fashion design degree with a business, marketing, or fashion merchandising degree, especially those who want to run their own business or retail store. Basic coursework includes color, textiles, sewing and tailoring, pattern making, and fashion history
No, you don't need a degree, but it does help. A degree with classes in architecture and design will help you learn the skills you need, and look good on your resume.
Just a fashion design degree. Make sure it's one that actually concentrates on designing if it's what you want to do. Some fashion courses might cover all aspects of fashion such as business, pattern cutting, marketing, computers, illustrating etc and not have a lot of modules in design. But it's very useful to have an insight into all those things as well.
You will need a degree in fashion design from college in order to become a fashion designer. An associate or Bachelor's degree will do. You will also need training in business. A designer will need a skill for textures and design as well.

yes
Fashion models don't really need an education, but it will help if they have a bachelors degree in fashion design
To be a costume designer you at least need an associate degree in fashion design. However, while pursing a degree you may want to considering volunteering at local theaters to help them with their costumes. Since costume designing is such a competitive industry you may want to think about getting a degree in costume design (commonly called production design). The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising offers an associate degree in costume design (though an associate degree in fashion design is a prerequisite). Savannah College of Art and Design offers a 4 year Production Design bachelor's degree program as well as a 4 year Fashion Design bachelor's degree program. Many other colleges offer a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design and by working with that colleges theater department frequently you will be able to make yourself highly qualified to be a costume designer. I am on the path to become a costume designer myself, I am double majoring in Fashion Design and Production Design at Savannah College of Art and Design in the fall. Good Luck, I hope you find this helpful.
none!! modeling is not a degree in college. i think??
Well I would say a desire to design and a eye for creativity and trends for sure but also attending a fashion college will go a LONG way and I'm sure a lot of fashion design jobs require that you have a degree from a fashion college. If you're researching fashion colleges, look into FIDM. I have friends who graduated from that school and they really loved it and told me that FIDM has a very well known fashion design program and that a lot of famous fashion designers graduated from that school. Good luck!
FIDM.com (fashion istitute of design merchandising~shoe specialty)FIT.com (fashion not really for shoes but shoes are fashion!)international academy of design technology (fashion school)academyart.com (fashion)No matter what shoe field you want to go into you need a degree in fashion, not specifically shoes...you can even go on this website (careeronestop.com) and it specifies what kind of education/degree you need for the occupation you want.
There are many schools that offer online degrees in fashion design. You need to shop around to find the one that best suits your needs. Here is one such place where you can start: http://online.academyart.edu/schools/fashion/
no they dont, but however they do need at least a bachelors degree or better in fashion design to even try to get an entry level job.
Have a qualification in graphic design / art.
Today, if you aspire to be a fashion designer, you need a certificate or degree of some type. There are schools that specialize in fashion design-- some good, some rip offs. At any rate a degree from a college of design is always good to have in your hip pocket. From there, its a lot of making contacts with the right people and showing your sketches. The business end of the profession should be covered in the school that you attend, also the assessment of the job market and how to apply.
