A tornado's spin originates in wind shear, which is a difference in wind speed or direction at different altitudes. If this wind shear is strong enough air may start to roll in a phenomenon called horizontal vorticity. The updraft of a thunderstorm can then turn this vorticity vertical and take on the rotation to become a mesocyclone. Under the right conditions the mesocyclone can tighten and intensify to produce a smaller, stronger vortex: the tornado itself.

What is the wheel and axle in the fan?

The wheel and axle in a fan refers to the central shaft (axle) that rotates and is connected to the blades (wheel). When the axle rotates, the blades spin, creating airflow. This simple machine design enables efficient movement and helps the fan generate a strong breeze while minimizing energy consumption. Together, they enhance the fan's overall performance and effectiveness in cooling a space.

Why does fan collects dust on it even though it rotates?

Much dust is greasy and this aids its accumulation by impact. You'll find that the dust from a fan blade does not easily fall apart.

Where would you find the inclind plane on a fan?

The inclined plane on a fan is typically found on the blades. The angled shape of the blades creates an inclined plane that helps to move air more efficiently as the fan rotates.

Why fan rotates anticlockwise?

A fan motor has two parts namely rotor and stator. In a table fan blades are attached to rotor and its movement appears to be clockwise. In a ceiling fan, blades are attached to stator so blades appears to be moving anti clockwise.

When fan rotates we are unable to visualize individual blades why?

The human eye just can't focus on an object moving that fast.
