If you are drilling with no returns it is imperative to watch pressure, torque and hookload. Before every connection ream the pipe at least half way to make sure you are free. Connection time is imperative, any sign that pressure cannot be maintained or that the string is not free pull out of the hole until pipe is free and try to regain pressure. If TD is reached on the hole and casing is run cement tools such as a cement basket, ecp or acp will need to be figured based on estimated geological data.
All drilling rigs are designed to extract a significant amount of petroleum, which is trapped underground in a porous or permeable rock formation. The most common form of drilling rig has been the rotary rig.
Petroleum exploration is where a rig or ship is used to drill into the earth or seabed to locate oil reserves. For offshore exploration a drill ship, jack-up drilling rig or floating drilling rig can be used. For onshore applications mobile drilling rig is used.
The four main systems of a drilling rig are the drilling system, power system, circulating system, and well control system. The drilling system includes components for drilling the well, such as the drill bit and drilling string. The power system provides the necessary energy to operate the rig, including engines and generators. The circulating system manages the flow of drilling fluid, while the well control system ensures safety by managing pressure and preventing blowouts.
The drilling rig is a semi-submersible platform (not anchored to the sea floor). It has been destroyed by fire and is lying in 5,000 feet of water at the ocean's bottom. As it plunged into the ocean, it drifted and is a good distance (I believe around 1,400 ft) from subsea wellhead. The drilling platform will never be repaired.
A drilling rig operates by using a rotating drill bit to penetrate the earth's surface and reach underground resources, such as oil or natural gas. The rig's structure supports various components, including the drill pipe, which connects the surface equipment to the drill bit. As the drill bit rotates, drilling mud is circulated through the system to cool the bit, remove cuttings, and maintain pressure in the well. The rig is equipped with mechanisms for hoisting, lowering, and rotating the drill string, allowing for efficient drilling operations.
The drilling rig was not given a name but is simply referred to as "the Spindle top drilling rig".

It is actually a hole in the ground, not a part of the rig.

A bullpen rig is a type of portable drilling rig in the oilfield. It’s easy to move and set up, making it useful for smaller or quicker drilling jobs.

It was done by the University of OK and was drilled by Parker drilling using Rig 166 which is now owned by Unit Drilling. This rig went to Kallispell, Montana afterward. The name of the well is: GHK Bertha Rogers #1-27

If you are referring to the rig that suffered the major oil spill on April 10, 2010, it was an ultra-deepwater, dynamically positioned, semi-submersible offshore oil drilling rig, named the Deepwater Horizon. Simply called a drilling rig.
