la borra o jabón se hace reaccionar con acido sulfurico en forma estequiometrica mas un exceso de 20%, a una temperatura de 70-80°c, se agita durante un par de horas y se deja decantar el agua, luego de eliminar el agua se lava con mas agua hasta que esta de un pH superior a 5, para comprobar que a reaccionado todo el ácido se puede determinar el contenido de jabón remanente en el ácido graso formado.
