Hi, i`m not sure if you know or not but the fuse is really a very small resister.

the main power fuse is located near the power jack on the circuit board.

this is the number you need to look for F0001. if you have a digital meter set it to 20K

and test the fuse/resister. the fuse should read the same way as if you touched the two meter leads together.

hope this helps you.

good luck.

Why not replace a fuse with a steel nail?

A fuse is used for protection. If you replace it with a nail, you give up the protection. If the fuse blew, there was a reason, and the fuse protected you from the results of what would have happened if it had not blown, like such minor inconveniences as your TV set getting blasted beyond repair, or your house burning down.

You have one hot fuse on a three phase oven?

I would say that probably the fuse holder is loose, this would cause a voltage drop and result in heating of the fuse. Replace the fuse holder.

Thermal fuse will blow when the temperature exceeds the rated temperature of the fuse. Can a thermal fuse exceed its lifespan and blow or malfunction other than temperature exceeding rating?

It's possible. I'd be wary assuming this is the problem. If you can replace with an identical thermal fuse and test, I would. It is very likely you have an overheating issue, though. Clean whatever the fuse is meant to protect thoroughly. If this is in a light fixture, i would be tempted to replace with a lower energy light bulb.

How to replace a fuse in an elcb?

To replace a fuse in an ELCB (Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker), first turn off the main power supply to ensure safety. Open the ELCB cover, locate the blown fuse, and carefully remove it. Insert a new fuse of the same rating, ensuring it fits securely, and then close the cover. Finally, restore power and test the ELCB to confirm proper operation.

Give one advantage of using a circuit breaker rather than a wire or cartridge fuse?

An electrical breaker is dual function an electrical fuse just has one purpose.
