A programmable timer usually just means a timer that can be programmed to go off at any time.
delay timer
a digital countdown timer is simply a digital synchronous counter consisting of registers and flip flops example :to count the number from 0 to 15 we require a four bit synchronous counter which will pass to sixteen stages continuously with shifting from one stage to other after every clock pulse and the cycle continues
There are different types of industrial timer like ON Timer, OFF timer, Cyclic Timer, sequential timer there basic function is the same to turn ON/OFF devices at particular time or after a specific durations check this link for a simple microcontroller based ON timer where where a device is turned ON for a specific duration after a switch is pressed http://www.dnatechindia.com/index.php/Code-Library/8051_ASSEMBLY/ON-Timer-Program.html here is another link for adjustable cyclic timer where a device is turned ON/OFF continuously for a specific duration http://www.dnatechindia.com/index.php/Kits/Microcontroller-Kits/Adjustable-Cyclic-Timer.html
Hello,I am learning how to make a timer to my game. It is something like "Who wants to be a millionaire?" I have 15 questions. There is timer for each question:60 seconds.... When I click on an answer I go on next frame, but my timer does not stop. What should I add ( and where ) to stop my timer when I clik an answer? My code for the timer is:timer = 60;countdown = function(){_root.timer--;if(_root.timer
A: the lm555 timer is laser trim with a ratio of .639 then decide whether one minute hi or low
The dryer timer controls the drying cycle by setting the amount of time the dryer runs for each cycle. When you select a drying setting, the timer starts counting down and stops the dryer when the set time is reached, indicating that the clothes should be dry.

There could be a few reasons why your Kenmore dryer timer continues to run after the cycle is finished. It could be due to a faulty timer mechanism, a malfunctioning heating element, or a problem with the cycling thermostat. It is recommended to consult a professional technician to diagnose and fix the issue.
There are two types of timers: Hardware and Software. Hardware timer is a small logic circuit with small piece of specific crystal which generate pulse at specific frequency. The problem with this kind of timer is that there are only a few of them in computer boards (some decades they did not use timer at all and instead electrical lines there used which was running precisely at 50Hz) and you might want to have more timers in your system. And here comes the software timer. Software timer is a descriptor in global timers table where all timers are checked every time hardware timer is triggered. For example you have table (let it be your global timer table): |Timer Id|Pointer to function|Time out|Init. value|Loop| | 1 | checkIO | 1000 | 1000 |No | | 2 | CleanBuffer | 9000 | 9000 |Yes | | .... Note: "Time out" and "Init. value" is in milliseconds. Let's say my hardware timer is running at 1MHz, which means it is triggered a thousand times a second. Each time hardware timer is triggered I will be checking table to see if "Time out" column is equal to zero, if so I call function which pointer I have saved in "Pointer to function" column. If "Loop" is Yes "Time out" column is set to "Init. value". If "Loop" is No timer record from global timers table is removed. This is very simple implementation of software timer. This was used only for example to better understand the difference of hardware and software timers.
Fridge timer probably needs to be replaced!
That's not normal. The timer may be stuck in the regeneration cycle.
A defrost timer is typically used to control the defrost cycle in a domestic freezer. This timer switches the freezer from cooling mode to defrost mode at set intervals to prevent ice build-up.
Why does my 950 series frigidaire dishwasher stay in wash cycle and make a clicking noise and does not go in to rinse cycle? ANS 2 - The timer is faulty. It's unlikely you can fix the timer, but not too difficult to fit a new one. ( only cost -effective if the dishwasher is a really good and almost new one. )
A 2005 doesn't have a central timer module. The wipers are controlled by the cluster and the front control module. 1994-2002 did have a centrel timer that did control wipers.
In theory, steam could affect the timer because if it's left for a long time and the metal heats and expands it could slow down slightly. The likelihood is very slim.
