one terminal of the ex-or gate should be connected to a high input(1 or 5V). the other terminal is used as the input terminal, since not gate has only one input.when we give a high to this input, now the inputs of exor gate are 1 & 1.so output is 0.when we give a low to the input , then the inputs of ex-or gate are 0 and 1, output is 1. Hence it works as a controlled inverter.
Exclusive OR gate has a variety of applications. Even parity generator. comparator. encoder etc.
Probably you are referring to an Exlusive OR gate (XOR). This logic function (also implemented as an electronic circuit) outputs TRUE (or high) when one and only one of its two inputs is TRUE (or high). A regular OR gate outputs TRUE when either or both of its inputs are TRUE.
An XOR gate is an Exclusive OR gate. The output is 1 if either one or the other inputs are 1. but remains at 0 if both inputs are 1.A normal OR gate will output 1 if both inputs or either is at 1.XOR means exclusivly OR, one or the other but not both.

The inverter, which returns the reverse of the input. The AND gate which returns a high output if and only if both inputs are high. The OR gate, which returns a high output if either or both inputs are high. The NAND and NOR gates return the opposite of their counterparts. They are basically the AND and OR gates with an inverter after them. The XOR gate is the exclusive OR gate; it returns a high output it either input is high, but not both. Every binary combination of outputs can be made from these operators. In fact, you don't even need all of them. The NAND and the NOR gate can both create every other gate.
Exclusive OR
NOT Gate
XOR (Exclusive OR) gate is exclusively for either. OR allows 10, 01, 11. XOR allows 10 or 01, but not 11.

there is one called Gollum. It can unlock the exclusive character Gollum

An XOR (exclusive OR gate) has two inputs and one output. If only one of the inputs is at level 1, then the output is 1 otherwise the output is 0. The truth table looks like this: A B Out0 0 00 1 11 0 11 1 0 Exclusive OR represents in logic what "or" means in English; for example, if asked if you want tea or coffee it's usually meant that you can have one or the other - not both.

The out put of the xor gate is o when the input is 111 because of the inverter at the output of the or gate.A2XOR = Exclusive Or gate. This means that the output is only 'true', when only 1 of the inputs is 'true'. The exclusivity means that if another input is true, then the output stays 'false'. It will only switch on when only one input is on.
No, you are not able to convert mini DVDs into regular DVDs. The two are mutually exclusive and cannot be converted from one to the other, unfortunately.
