Wrap it with insulation
Fixing a leak You should first check fan vent outlet on roof - should have a flapper of some kind that may be stuck open or have a hole in it. If it only leaks when it is raining that is first clue. One other possibility is the vent pipe is running through cold attic causing condensation - you can wrap vent pipe with insulation to solve that one . Shorten distance of fan vent, too much condensation to evaporate before running back to fan.More input from FAQ Farmers:It isn't possible to fix a leak unless you know where the leak is coming from. If you have a plumber do this, he may be able to diagnose what is happening with the fan. Recently, we found that the condensation pipe was plugged, and we got a leak--the water always finds a path.
A ferrule is used on a compression type joint. Care should be taken to properly tighten the nut, but typically it goes between the nut and a fitting. You should use plastic ferrules on plastic pipe but also be sure to use a brass or stainless sleeve inside the open end of the pipe so you don't crush it and it maintains therigidity of the pipe. You should use a brass ferrule on copper pipe which are stronger and give a better squeeze on the pipe sealing the joint. Usually hand tight plus a 1/2 turn is good to start with. water test the fitting and if it leaks you can always shut it back off and tighten more. One rule of plumbing is tight is tight, too tight is broke! There is no need to apply pipe sealant, pipe dope, or Teflon tape to the threads of the compression nut. None of these things will hurt, but they won't help either, since the seal depends ONLY on how well the ferrule is compressed against the pipe and the taper of the fitting. If the fitting leaks, it is because something is wrong. You could have over- or under-tightened the nut, the ferrule might have been damaged, the taper might have a nick in it, etc.
To fix a toilet that keeps flushing intermittently, first, check the flapper valve at the bottom of the tank; it may be worn or not sealing properly, requiring replacement. Ensure the chain connected to the flapper isn't too tight or tangled, as this can prevent it from closing completely. Additionally, inspect the fill valve for any debris or wear, and adjust the water level if it's too high, causing overflow into the overflow tube. If these steps don't resolve the issue, consider seeking professional plumbing assistance.
Depends what pipe fitter. Also depends how busy he/she is how many people he/she has working working for them. and what type of pipes they fit too.
If a drain pipe slopes too much, it can cause wastewater to flow too quickly, leading to insufficient drainage and potentially leaving solids behind. This can result in blockages and clogs over time. Additionally, the rapid flow may create turbulence that can damage the pipe or joints, leading to leaks. Proper slope is essential to maintain effective drainage while preventing these issues.
Waste water will run away too quickly to properly carry away any solids in drain pipe, eventually causing a clog.
Your best way of finding that out is to go to a good hardware store and looking. Apart from pipe wrenches most plumbing tools are too hard to describe

Yes, but only pipe, fittings too big in diameter where they glue together to fit in 2X4 wall.
To use a plumbing hammer for repairing leaky pipes, first, locate the source of the leak. Then, gently tap the hammer on the pipe near the leak to tighten any loose fittings or connections. Be careful not to hit the pipe too hard, as this could cause further damage. Repeat as needed until the leak is fixed.
There typically isn't too much to the pipes under a sink. There is the down pipe from the sink drain, the trap, and the exit pipe out of the trap. You can typically get all the replacement parts in PVC form quite cheap, and they are usually standard fitting components. You may want to take off what you have and bring it with you when you buy new parts, just to match up the sizing.
Taking far too long to do a simple job is poor service.Requesting a plumber to fix a burst pipe, he turns off the water supply then takes 10 days to return and mend the pipe, that is poor service.
