In the US, I would recommend MIT, Carnegie Mellon, California Poly Tech (CalTech), Rochester Institute of Technology, although its ALL WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT, and how much effort you put into your studies. A degree from an accredited State University will give you a lot of Bang for Your Buck.

It depends on where you live and what type of engineer you want to be (civil, chemical, etc.).
It was invented by an engineer at GM in the 60s who mistakenly thinks that you can apply more torque due to the larger surface area. The specific engineer needs to be taken out and beaten with his own miserable invention. I can list 5 people i talked to today alone that would line up and pay for a swing at the guy. i want to be at the front of the line.

You will need to pick the field in which you want to major in when you apply to Harvard or any other college.
yes if you want a better chance to getting the job You are not an engineer with out an engineering degree. Most states require engineers to be licensed.
