yes if t belt breaks it usually bends valves
If you give the yr/make/model/engine, could let you know... But if you want to find out your self. You need to turn piston 1 to TDC and depending on the engine, undo the valve spring keeper and measure how far the valve drops until in hits the piston. Subtract .050 of an inch and if it is less than the max valve lift you have an interference engine.
Interference. This can result in either constructive interference, resulting in increased amplitude, or destructive interference, whereby there would a reduced amplitude.
yyuuuy
Interference occurs when the addendum of the involute gear goes on the increased. When this occurs there is a increase in the toothspace and decrease in the teeth of the particular gear. So with reduction in the toothspace there occurs a slipping in the involute gear. Inorder to reduce that particular condition we have to avoid interference in gears.
The two are totally unrelated. Classes means categories. It is also used as a programming concept. Interference is a phenomenon that happens when two waves meet.
IT is an INTERFERENCE engine.
Yes
According to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etc. ) the ( 2.0 liter engine ) in a 2002 Daewoo Nubira ( is an interference engine )
Daewoo Matiz is listed as an interference engine. There is a most likely chance of engine damage ocuring in the event of the timing belt failing
If the engine is an interference type serious engine damage will result. If engine is noninterference type it will just stop.
8 valve engine is freewheeling. very little chance of engine damage. 16 valve is an interference engine. Most likely damage will have occured.

where is the engine number on a 1997 daewoo nubira
Interference,
Interference engine.
Yes it is an interference engine. Which means if anything happens to your fan belt, you're in deep do-do. I have had two timing belt breaks. That's so bad that I'm writing a book about it. Titled "What Dae Woo Want?"' I wish I could find an Opel Ecotec engine that I could install in my 2001 Daewoo Laganza 2.2 Liter D-Tec Engine. Anybody got any good ideas email me at rorr05@netscape.com Thanks Rich
