  • Technically a tree is a renewable resource, as you can replace what you use in about 20 years depending on the species of tree. However, when companies destroy entire forests of trees, much biodiversity is lost and it is too hard to re-grow the trees that were cut down.
  • It depends on the state in which it is in. Take for example paper. Paper is made from tree pulp, and it can be reusable, so in that aspect it IS renewable. But coal, which is made from trees that have been underground for at least a few million years (a pure form of carbon, like graphite and diamond), is NOT renewable as it is a fossil fuel. Fossil fuels are a type of energy that is not recyclable, unlike geothermal, solar, or hydro-electric energy.
  • Yes and no. If you plant as many trees as you cut down or more than yes but if you don't the numbers will eventually decline and again no. While trees will grow back, they will take time so that is another reason why it is yes and no.
