There is really no way to measure which is easier, in this case it's about personal preference that will make the major seem easier. Both majors have fundamental courses involving Calc 1-3, differential equations, and physics I and II. In Mechanical engineering you will have to take many courses involved with physics I principles such as Statics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, heat transfer, etc. Electrical Engineering follows more of the principles of physics II. It involves courses in Circuits I and II, electromagnetics, power systems, electronic systems, as well as computer programming and computer engineering. If you really enjoy the hardware and electrical aspects of devices, then electrical engineering will seem like the easier degree to you. If the manufacturing processs and mechanical objects are more your thing, you will find Mechanical engineering to be easier. I'm an EE myself, and I enjoy the classes I take while my Mechanical and Aerospace engineering major friends cringe at the sight of my homework. Conversely their homework scares me.

You need to be very mathmatically and physically minded for either major, however I feel that having very strong skills in math (primarily calc2 and Diff eq) will be very beneficial in EE and being very talented in physics will help you more helpful in MechE.

Hope this helps

What simple machines are in the radio?

A radio primarily consists of electrical components rather than traditional simple machines, but it does utilize some mechanical elements that can be considered simple machines. For example, the tuning knob acts like a lever, allowing for easier adjustment of frequencies. Additionally, the speaker diaphragm can be seen as a type of simple machine that converts electrical energy into sound through vibrational motion. Overall, while not predominantly mechanical, radios do incorporate basic mechanical principles in their operation.

What is the role of an electrical engineer in the industries and power sector?

The main role of electrical engineers in construction projects is to supervise the electricians in handling all the electrical works considering the safety and quality requirements. The electrical engineer in the construction site also reads and studies the electrical plans (usually done by electrical design engineers) and implement it in the site and sometimes do necessary actions whether to correct or to improve the design. They coordinate with other electrical engineers in the implementation of the electrical system design and also with other engineers of different fields, such as civil and mechanical engineers, to make the construction job easier.

What engineering project of the last century has made travel easier between Western countries and Asia?

The Canal of Suez

How do you become an Mechanical engineer?

You need a four year BS degree at major universities and a good interview during this or following. Working as a paid or unpaid intern while in college can make the job hunting easier. After you receive your degree, some states require you to work with a professional engineer for a period of time before you are allowed to take your state's PE exam. For example: In California you must work under a PE for 2 years before being allowed to take the PE exam, but in Nevada it's 4 years.

A device that makes energy easier is a machine?

A device that makes energy easier to use could be a power converter or energy transformer that changes the form of energy (such as from mechanical to electrical) for more efficient use.

How can you get into a computer engineering career?

It is easier to start off in High school, in which you could take computer classes. How far you want to excel in the engineering career depends on what qualifications you will need. Even if you have a degree additional studying will be necessary.

What is the purpose of a clearence hole in mechanical engineering and how does it affect the assembly process?

A clearance hole in mechanical engineering is a hole that is slightly larger than the diameter of a fastener. Its purpose is to allow the fastener to pass through easily without any interference. This helps simplify the assembly process by making it easier to align and insert the fastener, reducing the risk of damage to the components being assembled.

Electrical Engineering Colleges?

One of the disciplines that people definitely need all of the time regardless of industry is that of electrical engineering. There are two main ways to learn electrical engineering. The first way is to go through a four-year undergraduate electrical engineering program and then attend a higher education school after that, possibly 2 to 3 years in order to earn your masters in engineering. Another way, which is much less expensive and time-consuming, is simply to go to an electrical engineering vocational school which specializes in electrical engineering. More and more, people are choosing the second option two the first, even though the first more traditional way is the more mainstream way of doing things. However, many people are seeing that the more traditional liberal arts colleges and universities simply have more money to advertise their programs on television and radio. The electrical engineering colleges which serve as single function vocational schools are actually much better at providing graduating students with jobs after they graduate and in connecting students to people who are with in the industry of electrical engineering. The other issue of electrical engineering liberal arts programs is that they are very expensive and on the rise. Electrical engineering colleges which are single function vocational schools have not risen in their tuition costs or in the associated costs with them. People are finding it much easier to pay for those programs and not go into debt, as well as place themselves with good employment after graduation. Electrical engineering colleges which are vocational schools are simply better returns on investment with in the recessionary period that many people find themselves in today. Another reason that many people opt for electrical engineering college programs that are administered by vocational schools is the increased flexibility that they have you finish the program on their own terms. Many times, electrical engineering colleges that are run by vocational schools do not even require students to give up their current day job, which is a relief for many adults who are looking for continuing education without giving up their current lifestyle.

Why are imaginary numbers important?

They are used for working out equations where the numbers you are working with are not physically possible, but we just imagine they are, such as the square root of a negative number In engineering, especially Electrical Engineering, using complex numbers to represent signals (rather than sines and/or cosines) make comparing and working with signals easier.
