thee are no working ocean current absorbing systems inplace that I know of at the moment, however the idea has been patented and might very well come into production sometime in the next 10 years, if they discover a cost effective way to safely produce it.

How are tidal power plants similar to hydroelectric plants?

Both use the flow of water generate electricity. Hydroelectric uses the flow of water from a high point to a low point. (A damn). Tidal power uses the flow of ocean tides in and out.

What scientist studies ocean currents?

An oceanographer studies ocean currents. They analyze the movement of water in the ocean and how it impacts climate, marine life, and coastal areas. Oceanographers use various tools like buoys, satellites, and computer models to study ocean currents.

What is the relationship between convection currents in the ocean and convection currents in the atmosphere?

Which best explains the relationship between ocean currents and convection currents?(1 point) Responses Convection currents join with the Coriolis effect to create the winds that drive ocean currents. Convection currents join with the Coriolis effect to create the winds that drive ocean currents. Ocean currents rely on warm convection currents to strength the Coriolis effect. Ocean currents rely on warm convection currents to strength the Coriolis effect. Ocean currents create a Coriolis effect that increases convection currents. Ocean currents create a Coriolis effect that increases convection currents. Convection currents use the Coriolis effect to generate ocean currents.

Where do plants in the ocean get carbon?

Carbon Dioxide dissolves in ocean water. Plants in the ocean use the carbon dioxide dissolved in the ocean water.

What is artificially generated currents?

Artificially generated currents refer to electrical currents created through human-made processes, often using devices such as generators, power plants, or electronic circuits. These currents can be designed for specific applications, such as powering machinery, lighting, or electronic devices. Unlike natural currents, which occur in phenomena like lightning or ocean currents, artificially generated currents are controlled and manipulated for consistent and practical use in various technologies.

How does organisms use currents to move?

Organisms can use ocean currents to conserve energy by riding along with them, allowing the current to carry them to their destination. Some organisms, like jellyfish and certain fish species, actively swim against or across currents to navigate and find food or mates. Others use currents to disperse their larvae to new habitats for colonization.

What kind of scientist would study how ocean currents?

A physical oceanographer would study ocean currents. This type of scientist focuses on the physical properties and processes of the ocean, including the movement of water, temperature, salinity, and the interactions between the ocean and the atmosphere. They use various tools and models to understand how currents affect climate, marine life, and global weather patterns.
