Lots of them. Examples:

- their names must be unique in their scope

- they can only one return value (zero is also possible)

- their parameters can be 'by-value' only

- they can't be called before their declaration/definition (strictly speaking, they can, but that almost always leads to serious problems)

- they cannot be nested into each other
