It works on the following principles : (i)thermionic emission (ii)deflection of the electron beam by the electric and magnetic field (iii)fluorescence produced by the electron beam on a fluorescent screen
CRO is an analog instrument.
There are 2 types of CRO probes a. Active Probes (9 Megaohms) b. Passive Probes - hig voltage probe (10 to 1000 Megaohms)
A Cathode Ray Oscilloscope (CRO) can measure DC voltage because it converts the voltage signal into a visual representation on its screen. When a DC voltage is applied, the electron beam in the CRO is deflected vertically according to the voltage level, allowing the user to read the corresponding value on the vertical axis. By calibrating the vertical scale, the CRO can provide accurate DC voltage measurements. Additionally, the time base feature enables the display of DC signals over time, enhancing analysis.
It depends on you... there is no such rule to keep intensity at a perticular point...
The anode voltage does not affect the sensitivity of a CRO. The input amplifier and deflection circuit have a greater influence. The Anode voltage will affect the focus and visibility of the trace, in this respect it will affect how you see the result.
