The purpose of a voltage droop is to intentionally reduce the voltage of a device. Further information about why and when one would do this can be found on Wikipedia.
Normal shaft generators do not have droop-control for frequency and voltage. Semiconductor (drive) based variable speed shaft generators may have those today.
voltage
1) If current, at 'on load' condition, reach or cross its rated value, then the speed of the motor will be decreased. 2) If there is any voltage droop occurs in the incoming supply then the speed of the motor will be decreased.
Voltage dividers are used in a linear circuit to separate the input voltage into a small portion known as the output voltage. It is commonly used to get a low voltage signal equal to the voltage being measured.
To convert the high voltage on a feeder line to a lower voltage that can be used on the plant floor you use a transformer.
In the context of electrical engineering, "droop" refers to a reduction in voltage or current levels due to an increase in load or demand on a power system. Droop control is a method used in power systems to regulate and maintain stable voltage levels by adjusting the output of generators in response to changes in load. Droop characteristics are defined by the amount of voltage or frequency deviation from the nominal value as a function of the load current.
DROP or DROOP
Droop rate: The rate of change of the output voltage when the control signal is in the hold state. The droop rate is due to leakage currents flowing on or off the hold capacitor and therefore the droop rate is less for large capacitors. dVH/dt = Ileakage/CH VH: Hold voltage t: time I: current C: capacitor
Droop CT is used to control load sharing of the reactive power b/w paralleled generators.
Evan droop his head.
why do plants droop when no water
Aw, don't let your face droop.
They will run with different reactive power output, i.e. reactive load won't be equally shared between units.
