It is not "transfer". it has to be " Transverse" wave.
When the particles of the medium does vibrations simple harmonically perpendicular to the direction of motion of the wave then it is said to be transverse wave.
Even electromagnetic wave too is a transverse wave as its electric and magnetic omponents are normal to the direction of propagation.
to transfer large blocks of energy over long distance, which equal to half of electromagnetic wave length. (at 50 Hz approximately is 3000 km.)
Not better but its power transfer is certainly better
As states half wave will rectify only either positive or negative of a full wave. full wave will rectify positive and negative making it full wave rectification.
The wave with the maximum RMS value, in comparision with the peak value, is the square wave.
cos wave
The highest point of a transfer wave is called the crest. It is the peak of the wave where the water is at its highest level.
The wave is propagating in the direction of its energy transfer.
Electromagnetic wave, yes.
A wave in a rope is a transverse wave because the motion of the particles is perpendicular to the direction of energy transfer. Sound waves, on the other hand, are longitudinal waves because particles move parallel to the direction of energy transfer.
No waves do not transfer matter but it transfers only the energy
wave
Radiation is the transfer of energy by electromagnetic waves.
A sound wave or an ocean wave, for example
Mechanical waves do not transfer matter; they transfer energy and momentum. This means that while the wave causes particles in the medium to oscillate, the particles themselves do not travel with the wave as it propagates.
A sound wave is a longitudinal wave.thus the vibratoins and energy transfer go in the same direction
Waves transfer energy without transporting matter. The particles in a wave oscillate back and forth but do not move along with the wave itself. This is known as wave propagation.
the wave which does not travel through a medium is called electromagnetic wave.
