As the load increases on a motor the amperage rises. Increasing the load amps over the motors full load amp rating can shorten the motor's life because of excessive heat. Motors should have overload protection in their circuits to prevent this condition from happening by tripping the motor contactor and opening the motor's voltage supply.

Gets very warm .... vibrations., possible melt, seize, much energy expended.

Do motors get load when they are about to brake down?

no they dont

What size breaker do you need for a well pump?

A breaker is based on the amperage that is drawn by the pump motor load. Find the full load amperage of the motor. The wire fed from the breaker has to be rated at 125% of the motors full load amperage. The breaker for motors have to be over sized, usually 250% of the motors full load amps.

What do electric motors require to work?

A load to drive and a supply of electricity.

How do you connect two motors to a single vfd?

To connect two motors to a single variable frequency drive (VFD), ensure that both motors have similar voltage and power ratings. Connect the motors in parallel to the output terminals of the VFD, making sure to verify that the VFD is capable of handling the combined load of both motors. It's important to configure the VFD settings to account for the total load and ensure proper operation, while also considering the potential need for load sharing or protection measures for the motors. Always consult the VFD manufacturer’s guidelines for specific limitations and recommendations.

What wire size for world's simplest motor?

Wire size is based on the amperage of the load. Without knowing what the motors's full load amperage is, an answer can not be given.

Why noload current in big motors is higher than load current?

In large motors, the no-load current is higher because the motor needs to overcome the friction and windage losses present when running without a load. These losses require more power to overcome, resulting in a higher current draw. When the motor is under a load, the additional power required to turn the load increases the current draw further.

What is AC23?

Alternating Current for highly inductive load i.e. motors...whereas AC21 is for resistive load....i.e. heating elements. this is what you called utilization category...

Is it possible to run two 3Phase Motors on one AC Drive?

Yes provided the AC drive can take load of two motors. But this is not very ideal nor good

Examples of three phase balanced load used in industries?

* 3 phase motors * resistance heaters

DifferEnces of long vs short shunt DC COMPOUND MOTORS?

the basic difference is ,in short shunt motor the series field winding wont carry any current under no load condition whereas in long shunt motors series winding will carry no load current.....

Why do some induction motors start at no load?

The motor might produce little torque when starting. Single-phase motors are particularly bad in this regard. So it is often necessary to remove the load while starting. Loads like fans or rotary driers do not need the load taking off while starting, because the demanded torque is small at low speeds.

How will star and delta configured three phase induction motors perform as load increases?

Motors with star delta starter, starts with star mode, avoiding inrush of current for a relatively higher starting load, as the speed picks up, it goes to Delta mode with full phase voltage applied across the winding and continues to cater to the designed load.
