Polling data is just getting data or taking a pole (survey).
polling interrupt is alternative to the vector interrupt , it requires that the interrupt handler poll or send a signal to each device in turn in order to find out which one is sent the interrupt request.....
Polling checks constantly the status of de I/O device, wasting CPU cycles. However with Interrupt driven I/O the device sends a request to the CPU to indicate that it needs attention. So, in some cases, Interrupt driven I/O will be better than polling, because doesn't waste CPU cycles checking when the device needs attention.

The three types of master data discussed are reference data and enterprise data. Lastly, there is also market master data.
Retrieving Data,Inserting Data,and Deleting Data.
Polling, on computer networks, involves a server and client. The Server will check if the client is ready to receive data. If not ,then data will not be transferred to the client.
Computer network Polling is where a client server or Network Hub polls each computer for data. Data can only be sent when the particular computer is polled. If the computer has data to send but is not polled at that time, the data has to be stored until it can be sent. ^_^ JunkCollector ^_^
Polling in satellite networks is electronic signally between satellites to see which one is going to send data. It also requires a receiver that is polled to see if it is ready to transmit data.
A polling universe refers to the specific group or population that a poll or survey aims to capture data from. It represents the targeted demographic or participants that researchers want to gather opinions or information from. Defining the polling universe helps ensure that the data collected is representative and relevant to the research objectives.

I presume as in electronics and computer and in that case polling is amaintenance task that is pre program to service devices at period times
Internal polling refers to the practice of conducting surveys or polls within an organization, such as a political campaign or a business, to gauge the opinions, preferences, or attitudes of its members or target audience. This type of polling helps organizations understand their strengths and weaknesses, assess public sentiment, and inform strategic decisions. Unlike external polling, which gathers data from the general public, internal polling focuses on a specific group to provide insights that can directly influence organizational strategies.
George Gallup was a pioneering figure in the field of public opinion polling. He founded the Gallup Organization in the 1930s and developed scientific methods for survey sampling, which greatly improved the accuracy of polling data. Gallup introduced the concept of using random sampling to gauge public opinion, allowing for more representative and reliable results. His work laid the foundation for modern polling techniques and established polling as a vital tool in understanding public sentiment.
It is known as polling.
Spooling (Simultaneous Peripheral Operation On-Line) is a process where data is temporarily stored in a buffer or queue before being sent to a device, such as a printer, allowing for efficient management of data and device operations. Polling, on the other hand, is a technique where a computer repeatedly checks the status of a device or process at regular intervals to determine if it is ready for communication or requires attention. While spooling optimizes data flow and device usage, polling can lead to inefficiencies due to constant checking, especially if the device is idle for long periods.
The polling booth was hacked during the elections. We need to be at the polling both by midday.
