a free axle is both tires are independent. one could be in the hole, and the car is still stable. this is what is used today and is the best kind of axle to have.

fixed axles are both wheels are slanted at the same time, so the car will slant with the hole. these can be found on older trucks.

What is the difference between a iron free garment and a wrinkle free?

Not much. A wrinkle-resistant garment is designed to minimize wrinkles so that you do not have to iron it much. Some people don't iron the garment at all. I've never seen a garment, other than one made of polyester, which did not require some ironing. I don't know of a manufacturer which markets clothes as iron-free or wrinkle-free.

Explain the analogy between the flow of charge or current in a conductor under a potential difference with the free fall of a body under gravity?

charge flows from high potential energy to low potential energy.Particle falls from high potential to low potential during free fall of particle. asok

What is the difference between electric charge and ion?

An electric current goes through an electric circuit, if it is closed.

What is the difference between voltage ang current?

voltage: it is the potentail difference between two wires. or it is the amount of energy used to force the electrons.current: it is the flow of free electrons.by Balaji,NITCAnswerThere is no such expression as 'potential voltage'. 'Voltage' is simply another word for 'potential difference'.

Is the current in intrinsic semiconductos du to fre electrons or valence electrons and what is the diff between them?

Well intrinsic semiconductor is semiconductor crystal with no impurities in it. In intrinsic semiconductor the electrons in valence band(valence electrons) gain energy(due to thermal enegry) and break free into conduction band(means it become free electrons). As this electron breaks free, a vacancy is created in place of it. It is called as a hole. This hole has a positive charge. So current in semiconductor is due to flow of this free electrons and holes. But this current is very small in magnitude. The difference between free electrons and valenece electrons is that valence electrons are often bonded to other atoms in crystal. But free electrons can freely move throughout the crystal.

What is the difference in locking hubs and fixed?

difference between locking and fixed hubs is fixed hubs are driven the whole time this means that the axles and hubs turn as the wheels turn these are engaged at the transmission when needed locking hubs are free wheeling hubs, and when not locked the wheels will turn but the axles are not turning some have a switch inside cab to lock them, some you have to get out of vehicle and manuelly lock the hub at the hub these hubs when unlocked will not drive when transmission is engaged,

What is the difference between fixed nitrogen and free nitrogen?

Fixed nitrogen refers to nitrogen that has been converted into a form that can be readily used by plants, such as ammonia or nitrates. Free nitrogen, on the other hand, refers to nitrogen gas (N2) that makes up about 78% of the Earth's atmosphere and is not readily available for use by most organisms until it is fixed.

What is the difference between pin joint and hinged joint?

in pin joint the linkages are free to move relative to one another angularly, whereas in hinge joint, one linkage is fixed and the other is free to move in angular direction.

What is the difference between free nitrogen and fixed nitrogen?

Free nitrogen refers to the nitrogen gas (N2) present in the atmosphere, which is not readily available for use by most organisms. Fixed nitrogen, however, is nitrogen that has been converted into a form that can be utilized by plants and other organisms, such as ammonia, nitrate, or nitrite. This conversion process is often carried out by nitrogen-fixing bacteria in the soil.

What is the difference between a beam fixed at both ends and a cantilever beam?

A cantilever has only one end or point fixed; this is an obvious difference between having two points or both ends fixed. The nature of bending moment is same throughout the span in the case of a cantilever beam whereas a fixed beam has both types of nature, i.e. sagging as well as hogging.
