bigger wind turbines spread out larger and colect more energy

A larger wind turbine is more efficient than a small one, and costs less to operate per KWH. For example, if you had two 750KW turbines, your total output of energy would be 1.5MW. You would have to have enough area to erect them and they can't be too close together. Then, you would have to pay for maintenance on two units as well as any repairs that may have to be made. Now, if you had just one 1.5MW turbine, you would require less space to erect it, and only have to maintenance and repair one unit. It would cost more to purchase initially, but would save expenses in the long run. And, you could get more energy from the same area as well.

What is the most interesting thing about wind turbines?

Apparently Wind Turbines can make Bat's Lungs explode. . . You would need between 500 and 1000 wind turbines to match the energy for a power plant!

Difference between wind power and wind energy?

Wind power refers to the conversion of wind energy into electricity using wind turbines. Wind energy, on the other hand, is the form of energy produced by the movement of air in the atmosphere. Wind energy is harnessed and converted into wind power to generate electricity.

What is the difference between wind mills wind generators or wind turbines?

The true difference is use. A wind mill is traditionally used on a farm to power the house where as a wind generator/ turbine is used for electricity on a much higher amount. All of these things are using the power of wind to create electricity/ power for something.

What is the relationship between the speed of air and the efficiency of wind turbines?

The relationship between the speed of air and the efficiency of wind turbines is that higher wind speeds generally result in increased efficiency of wind turbines. This is because higher wind speeds provide more kinetic energy to the turbine blades, allowing them to generate more electricity.

What are some of the different designs of wind turbines?

country side wind turbines and modern turbines

What is the difference between wind energy and wind turbines?

. Wind energy is the energy taken from the wind that makes the rotor blade of the wind turbine to rotate, so that an alternator coupled to it can generate electricity. Wind turbine is a huge apparatus designed to transform wind energy into electricity.

What does wind turbines do?

A wind turbines uses the wind to power an electricity generator.

What is a common type of wind turbine?

Horizontal axis wind turbines, modern wind turbines, vertical axis turbines.

What are wind turbines made?

Wind energy is made by spinning turbines. The wind spins the wind turbines and they generate energy.
