Transition piece is mostly used where there is variation of Wall thickness greater tha 3/16" or the yield strength difference is greater than 20 ksi.
No, they need to match.
No. You can use flared fittings with a flaring tool and soft copper pipe.
WP is used in front of the grades for pipe fittings after the production standard. Like ASTM A403 WP304L. TP is used in front of the grades for pipes (not fittings) after the production standard. Like ASTM A312 TP304L.
BIP is Black Iron Pipe.

No, fittings go over the pipe
You cannot do that effectively without taking the fittings apart,
Not sure what you mean by pressure fittings. Threaded fittings for steel pipe are pressure fittings. Steel pipe with a 3/4" O.D. is known as 1/2" I.P.S. (Iron Pipe Size) pipe.
A pipe nipple is a short piece of pipe with male threads on both ends. It is used in plumbing systems to connect two female threaded fittings together. The nipple acts as a bridge between the two fittings, allowing for a secure and leak-proof connection.
There are four processes of manufacturing a SS forged fittings. First is Mandrel method, as the name suggests a curved mandrel is inserted into a length of pipe. Extrusion Method consists of a machine that has the mould of the fitting into which the pipe inserted and come out in the shape of a fittings.Next is the UO method in which a piece of sheet is cut out and then it is pressed on an anvil that has the inverted shape of a fittings. Hot Forming Method is somewhat similar to Extrusion Method, here a piece of pipe goes through a mould of the fittings and come out in the needed shape.
There are a few places in Houston where one can purchase pipe fittings. A good place to try is Pipe Fittings. Another good place to try is Home Depot.
No, they need to match.
NO, I don't believe this is possible -PPR fittings are made from polypropylene and nobody has yet developed a solvent or glue to join pieces of it. If you read any PPR manual you will see the words " Can be fitted fast and easily by special tools" -or something like that. Polypropylene is joined either by special 'mechanical ' fittings or' hot welded'. There is no Transition cement to join it either.Actually, I really can't imagine WHY you would want to do this anyway. In my local suppliers I see literally hundreds of PVC fittings to cover every eventuality.
