It depends on the speed of the motor that is driving the fan. There could be millions of answers to this question. I believe the questioner has asked the question wrong.
It is the speed you electrical drive device will run when it is just running but has not load. This would apply to: a furnace fan motor (or any motor) not connected to the fan a pump that is running but is not pumping anything a blender with no mixing container on top And so on
There are a variety of capacitor sizes in ceiling fans. The capacitor is dependant upon the characteristics of the fans motor. Whether it is a single speed, two speed or three speed. If you think it is the capacitor at fault for the fan not operating, take the fan down and open it up. This will give you the exact sizing for your fan.See sources and related links below.
voltage would go up typically (you would raise the voltage, not the fan circuit), but it depends on the motor
Some motors are specially designed for low speed. Some are "invertor Duty" classified so that they can be run on invertor (VFD) normally with a high heat dissipating design. On low speed the cooling effect reduces drastically since the cooling fan is mounted on the same motor shaft. Hence a separate small cooling fan is mounted on the motor, driven by separate power such that it keeps running at normal speed irrespective of main motor speed, thus providing the required cooling effect.
Why fan motor is not self started?
no you can not
Your fan motor is going out.
A resistor used in a fan circuit reduces the voltage supplied to the fan motor, which decreases the speed of the fan. The resistance introduced by the resistor limits the current flow to the motor, resulting in a slower fan speed.
Fan blower motor?Hi-speed relay badSwitch?Motor winding bad
Through a restrictive process of limiting the amount of electricity to the fan motor.
Could be a bad fan motor resistor
Resistor pack on blower motor? Fan switch? Low speed relay?
The wiring diagram for a 3-speed fan switch typically includes connections for the power supply, the fan motor, and the different speed settings. It will show how to connect the wires from the switch to the corresponding terminals on the fan motor. Make sure to follow the diagram carefully to ensure proper installation and functionality of the fan switch.
there is no fuse. for the high speed you have to have a working A/C motor
Re tap the motor to a higher or lower speed, assuming it has that capability.
Ballasts are not used with motor control.
The a/c fan motor resestor pack is on the evaporator case.
