Yes, lining a landfill with a waterproof barrier is beneficial as it helps prevent leachate, the liquid that can form when waste breaks down, from contaminating the surrounding soil and groundwater. This protective measure reduces the risk of environmental pollution and protects public health. Additionally, it can enhance the overall management of waste by controlling odors and emissions.

Until you have the skill to use a liner for coloring I would suggest you keep to the shader for coloring, you can dig holes in your client with a liner and that would not be a good idea. When using a shader for coloring use small circles to fill in the areas you want to color, ensure you have good skin tension and don't rush.

Landfills are typically avoided on loamy soils due to their high permeability, which may cause leachate to easily seep into the surrounding groundwater. Loamy soils have good drainage properties, which can lead to potential contamination of groundwater with landfill materials. It is generally recommended to choose sites with less permeable soil types for landfill development.
try Northwest Wholesale Pools, they have an instructional CD for $1 and it shows exactly how to measure for an inground liner. The CD would cost next to nothing to ship, totally worth it...they'll also sell you a liner, I highly recomend them. good luck
