It will be a sad day when our students are taught by robots. Teachers are underrated and appreciated far less than they deserve. A robot teacher will deliver information to students according to the functionality programmed into the robot. There will be little flexibility and no chance of moving away from a curriculum. Perhaps, to best answer the question, it is worth considering what we have now.
Compare a robot to a good teacher that we can see in our classrooms today. The teacher has eye contact with the students. He can see when one has lost focus on the lesson or is looking confused. It's a simple matter for him to back track a a little or to ask a question of the class. He can get a sense of how students are understanding concepts and whether he can increase the pace of teaching or slow it down.
He can sense attitudes in the classroom and notice opportunities to teach something extra or to leave the lesson plan to talk about related topics. He can pick up on learning difficulties, emotional issues with students and help to draw them into the lesson or deal with a potential problem.
A real teach can add humor to a lesson. A great math teacher, science teacher, English teach or any great teacher will use humor as one of many tools to engage and capture the interest of a class. A great teacher can make a dry subject come to life.
I have a sense that a robot doing the same job will fall far short of the best teachers we have in our classrooms today. Before our humanoid teaching staff are replaced, remember to appreciate their work and their skills with young people.
Remember also that teachers come in both genders. The reference to "he" applies equally to the many great women who teach as well.
Robots can assist with teaching, but they can’t replace the empathy, inspiration, and personal connection that real teachers bring to a classroom.
In the future robots will proboly be at your command and do any thing you want them to do.Such as cleaning.
Scientists are now looking into how robots will change the world in the future. The world of robotics has come a long way since the first industrial robots were introduced in the 1960s. Today, robots are used in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and entertainment. As technology continues to advance, the future of robots is looking increasingly exciting. /how-will-robots-change-the-world-in-the-future/
