According to the Army CRM (FM 5-19) there are three cause factors: -Human Error -Material Failure/Malfunction -Environmental conditions.
Failing is a lot more specific, because you can fail at something (a test, an interview, etc.) and not actually be a failure as a person. Everyone "fails" at something- whether it be minor, like a temporary thing that doesn't have any affect on one's life, or even something bigger, like being a bad parent. But being a failure implies not only is it a lifestyle but a personality and the essence of one's being. Being a failure does not exist because whether they are convinced of it or not, no one can be a failure down to their very core.
strain-to-failure
When selecting a diode, the peak inverse voltage (PIV) is crucial because it determines the maximum reverse voltage the diode can withstand without breaking down. Exceeding this voltage can lead to diode failure, resulting in circuit malfunction or damage. Ensuring that the PIV rating is higher than the maximum reverse voltage expected in the application helps maintain reliability and performance. Therefore, proper consideration of PIV is essential for the safe and effective operation of electronic circuits.
It is a measure of how prone to failure a system is... how often is does not work as intended! For instance it a system fails 5 times out of 10 it would have a failure rate of 50%
system failure
System failure.
Flight control system malfunction or failure.
A failure in the transmission.
system failure
A failure to operate in a satisfactory manner.
Causes include internal failure, solenoid malfunction, wiring malfunction, engine/trans sensor failure, pcm failure.
The light is on because there is a malfunction in the system. You need to have the codes read to no possible causes. After the failure is repaired the light will clear itself. You can not shut the light off when there is an active failure.
The light is on because the computer has detected a malfunction and set a code. The failure will need repaired and then the light will reset itself.
Low fluid, shifter malfunction, internal transmission failure.
The light is on because the air bag computer has detected a malfunction and set a code. The failure will have to be repaired to get the light off.
Linkage malfunction, low fluid, internal failure.
