To remove helical gears from a shaft, first ensure the assembly is properly supported and secured. If the gear is fixed with a key, remove the key using a suitable tool. Then, use a gear puller to apply even pressure and gently extract the gear from the shaft. If the gear is stubborn, heating the gear or applying penetrating oil may help ease its removal.

You can find the oil dipstick for a 1998 Suzuki Sidekick near the engine, typically on the right side when facing the vehicle from the front. It is usually a long, thin metal rod with a colored handle (often yellow or orange) that you can pull out to check the oil level. If you're having trouble locating it, refer to the owner's manual for a diagram or guidance specific to your model. Additionally, auto parts stores or online retailers may have replacement dipsticks if you need to purchase one.
