Unit of fault level is KA. Kilo amps
This describes what is known as the 'fault level' at a particular point in an electricity transmission or distribution system, expressed in megavolt amperes, enabling the theoretical value of fault current to be calculated at that point in the system, in order to ensure that the relevant switchgear is capable of interrupting that level of fault current.
what do you mean by 50 KA for 1 sec
...of what? to a house, to a breaker (to lower fault current level?), to an amplifier circuit?
A DC-to-DC converter is the general term for a device that changes DC voltage at one level to another.

I would say a possible similar device would be a mercury level switch. The switch is a sealed glass tube capsule with two or more contacts at one end. Tilt the capsule one way makes the mercury from around the metal contacts closing the switch, tilt the other way and the mercury moves away from the contacts so it opens the switch. It is often used for tilt / level detectors. A typical use would be to place it on a floating ball valve in a tank of liquid or sump, and as the level goes up or down the mercury switch would close and switch on an electrical pump to top the tank up or to drain the sump.
Level
Find something that is level or lay it on a wall and mark level. Turn the level end for end and it should read level on the same mark.
This is known as a tiltmeter or inclinometer.

An intelligent level measuring instrument is a device used to accurately determine the level of a substance in a container or system. These instruments are equipped with advanced technology such as digital displays, sensors, and communication capabilities to provide precise measurements and data for monitoring and control purposes in industrial applications.
A thermistor is not typically used to monitor the 80% fill level in a recovery tank. Float devices, scales, and sight glass indicators are commonly employed for this purpose. Thermistors are sensors that measure temperature and are not directly related to monitoring fill levels in tanks.
A sound level calibrator is a device used to calibrate and adjust the accuracy of sound level meters. It generates a known, standard sound level that is used as a reference to ensure the accuracy of the measurements taken by the sound level meter. Sound level calibrators are essential for ensuring the reliability of sound level measurements in various applications such as occupational noise monitoring or environmental noise assessments.
